There are 6 bolts...

There are 6 bolts that hold the box in place - 3 down each side. On my 2007, the 2 at the rear came out easy. The middle and the front 2 were not budging. Ground them off.

      If you're Taco had undercoating or has severe rust, just cut these suckers off at the top with an angle grinder. To get at the nuts underneath is real tough on the front and middle set. Try not to grind down the plastic bed liner like I did! LOL!
